Wow. Dover is one of the most beautiful places I have EVER been.
Caroline and I took the chunnel under the English Channel- cool!!! And then took another train to Dover. We stayed at the absolute cutest bed and breakfast and the owners were SO nice. We forgot that they have different electrical plugs in England and didn't bring our other adapters but the owners just had some we could borrow! We had some fabulous Italian food and then went to bed early so we would be rested for the next day.
The next morning we went to Dover castle! It was GORGEOUS! They also had a tour of the underground hospital there that they used in WWII. The tour was a sight, small, and touch tour which was very interesting. That means that it really did smell like an old hospital and it was dark and cool just like it would have been back then. After the tour, we finished the hike up to the castle and walked around in there- SO cool! We felt like princesses:)
Then we caught a cab the rest of the way up to get to the white cliffs (it would have taken over an hour to make the hike ourselves). This is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. The weather was perfect (a tad windy...see picture). The view was perfect. The water was so blue and the grass was so green. These pictures seriously do not even do this place justice!
