We went on top of the Eiffel Tower!!!!!!!
Today was yet another very full day. We took the metro to the Eiffel Tower to meet up with our tour guide, but of course we stopped for coffee along the way! The tour of the Eiffel Tower was incredible. We had the opportunity to go up to the very very top which was SO cool! Mom had a crush on our tour guide, Pierre, which was pretty funny too (ask her for a picture of him- lol). It was so cool to see the entire city from up there. So beautiful!
After the tour, we made our way to a yummy crepe restaurant that wasn't too far away. We had to wait in line to get in the tiny little restaurant but it was worth it for sure! We all had a savory crepe and a sweet crepe- yum! I was SO hungry when we got our food that I started eating without taking a picture, ha! I promise it looked a lot prettier before I ate half of it.
The cafe was in a nice shopping area so of course we walked around and shopped from store to store. Also, apparently France only has clothing sales twice a year and one of them is right now!!!!!!! I didn't buy anything this time but I found one super cute top that was a little too expensive :(. (See post about Paris Day 3 for an update on that)
Later that night, we stopped in a grocery store to buy some bread, cheese, etc. We took all of our yummy food and had a picnic by the Eiffel Tower for sunset! This was probably one of my favorite things we have done this whole trip. It was a blast to just sit and relax and watch all of the people! We stayed till 11:00 to watch it sparkle again but we were so tired! Meredith went for a walk and took a sneaky picture of Mom and I watching the Eiffel Tower shine!
