Last Day in the City of Lights

Somehow we always save the most for last so today was packed!!!!!

First we went to the Musee d'Orsay. They had an exhibition on Cezanne so we were able to see LOTS of his work which was very cool! Other artists pieces that we saw include Degas, Van Gogh, Renoir and more! After this, we made our way to the Louvre! It was closed so we weren't able to go inside, but it was neat to see the glass pyramids. One of our tour guides told us that if you spent only 30 seconds looking at each piece of artwork and you didn't sleep, eat, or take any breaks, it would take 100 days to see everything at the Louvre! CRAZY!

For lunch I ate a DELISH quiche lorraine! It was seriously SO good. And since it's vacation... we had two desserts! First we had creme brulee (yum) and then we had gelato (double yum)! Also, look at how beautiful this gelato is!!!! It is shaped like a flower and it has a macaron on top. Incredible.

As I mentioned in "Paris Day 2", here is an update on the cute top! We found it again in a different store and guess what!! It was on even more sale- 50% off!!!!!!!! So of course I bought it and I am still pretty jazzed about it:) For the second half of the day, we went to Montmartre and that area was so neat. There were artists all over the place and you could just watch them doing all their art! We stopped here for a coke on the side of the street which was so relaxing. Montmartre is the highest hill in Paris so it had a beautiful view too!

A trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without a stop at Laduree for macarons! This bakery is seriously SO cute and delicious! For dinner we ate even more crepes and then went to sleep because the travel doesn't stop!!!! We have an early train to Amsterdam in the morning.

Love,

MTW
